Just like many autoimmune diseases, Endometriosis is also cause unknown. With a lack of research on the causes of this condition or how to heal it, women are left suffering in pain, unless of course they want to or are able to get onto the long waiting lists for laparoscopy. Laparoscopy is currently the only way to get your diagnosis, and because it’s so invasive, many women opt out.
What is endometriosis?
It’s a condition where the endometrium lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes and causes severe pain and inflammation. The endometrium lining can find it’s way to the bowels and even the lungs, again causing women to experience high levels of pain and discomfort.
