Yoga for Women.

Fertility| Endometriosis | Hormones | Periods | Stress

Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection to balance out how much of ourselves we give away.

BARBARA DE ANGELIS

Yoga for Women's focus is on managing stress + anxiety, working with the hormones to live cyclically and reduce the impacts and symptoms of PMS, PMDD and Endometriosis.

Hormone balance is a buzz term at the moment with people striving to achieve hormone balance and influencers pushing products on us. The most natural way to find hormone balance is to manage stress, anxiety, care for our mental health, listen to your bodies, honour our hormones and the energies we feel as our hormones fluctuate; in other words we need to be working WITH our bodies, not against them. We don’t need to find hormone balance, our hormones are always changing, we need to honour them. We live in a world where endometriosis, PMS, PMDD and fertility issues are growing. Women need support now more than ever. What we aren’t told is that one of the biggest, if not thee biggest cause of endometriosis flare ups, PMS, PMDD and fertility issues is STRESS.

Yoga for women offers the knowledge and tools for women to honour the phases of their menstrual cycles by understanding hormones and true self care. We learn to regulate the nervous system and find balance through nurturing and challenging yoga, meditation, mental clarity, rest, relaxation and support.

Yoga for women is made up of Yin yoga, Vinyasa yoga, meditation, self-inquiry, somatic practices, journaling + breathwork.

Yin Yoga; A much slower practice. Yin yoga we go deep, remaining in the same postures for several minutes and breaths; this helps us go inward, restore balance in our systems, calm the nervous system and mind, get comfortable with stillness and slowing down. Yin yoga gives the body and mind deep rest as well as many other physical benefits like joint mobility and health. A beautiful practice to reduce stress and soothe endometriosis flare ups, PMS, PMDD and aid fertility issues.

Vinyasa Yoga; a breath-led, empowering and strength building practice referred to as ‘moving meditation. Vinyasa yoga will give you the tools to connect with your breath. Vinyasa yoga builds the strength women need as we transition through the phases of hormone changes. A challenging practice for the stronger phases of our cycle.
